Ongoing IT support and management
Managed Cloud IT Support
Keep your team working. Keep your IT under control.
Give employees one clear place to report IT issues and get support. Magnit investigates problems, keeps people informed, confirms the solution works, and documents useful fixes so recurring issues can be resolved faster.
We also manage the accounts, Windows and Mac devices, applications, and security settings your team relies on. By connecting this work around Microsoft 365, we make access easier to manage, reduce repeated administration, and create a foundation for useful integrations, automation, and secure AI adoption.
Built around Microsoft 365
A more connected working day- Employee access
- Windows & Mac computers
- Shared files & teamwork
- Everyday processes
What your business gains
- A clear support experience. Employees know where to report a problem, what happens next, and who is working on it.
- More consistent management and security. Devices, accounts, and access follow agreed standards as employees join, change roles, and leave.
- Better use of your technology. Review unused licenses, overlapping tools, and existing capabilities before adding more software or manual work.
What your managed IT service includes
The base package includes the following, within the users, devices and systems covered by your proposal:
- Employee IT support: Track and investigate issues, communicate progress, confirm fixes, and coordinate with relevant software or equipment providers.
- Windows and Mac devices: Configure computers, applications, updates, and supported security settings, with planning for replacements and deployment.
- Accounts and access: Manage employee accounts, permissions, sign-in protections, and access changes throughout employment.
- Microsoft 365: Administer agreed email, collaboration, file-sharing, and productivity services around the way your team works.
- Employee onboarding and offboarding: Manage employee account setup, device configuration, and access changes through an agreed process, so new starters are prepared and departing employees' access is removed appropriately.
- Business applications: Connect supported applications to company identity and workflows, with clear responsibilities for vendor-managed systems.
- Data protection and recovery planning: Review how important information is protected, backed up, and recovered.
- Technology planning: Review licensing, equipment, recurring issues, and opportunities to simplify everyday work.
What to expect in your service proposal
Your proposal defines support hours, covered users and systems, response commitments, onsite requirements, and responsibilities. Software licenses, equipment, backup services, and larger projects are included only where specified. Windows and Mac receive consistent support and security objectives using the controls available on each platform.
Support that can grow with your business
Start with ongoing IT support and management, then add consulting, automation projects, or AI platform management as your needs develop. Additional services are scoped and priced separately, so you know what's included before work begins.
Consulting, automation, and AI platform management are also available as standalone engagements without Magnit being your primary IT support provider.
Illustrative example. An employee cannot open a shared folder. Magnit reviews the issue, checks the relevant account and permissions, restores approved access, confirms the employee can work, and records the solution.
Business AI setup, access controls & ongoing management
AI Platform Setup & Management
Put AI to work with clear controls.
Give employees access to useful AI tools while keeping control of who can use them, which capabilities are available, and what company information connected tools can access. Magnit sets up and manages business AI platforms, with permissions, integrations, and policies matched to your company's needs and the controls each platform supports.
Whether you are introducing AI or already have employees using it, we review the setup, identify gaps, and configure the available controls around how your business wants to work.
- EmployeesKnow the approved tasks and information rules
- Approved AI toolsManaged accounts and supported settings
- Permitted connectionsAccess only as approved and supported
What your business gains
- Clear access and responsibilities. Decide who can use your business AI tools, who manages them, and which capabilities different teams need.
- More deliberate access to company information. Review what connected tools can reach and address unnecessary permissions before expanding access.
- A setup someone maintains. Keep agreed accounts, integrations, and settings under management as employees and business needs change.
What we can configure and manage
- Company accounts and sign-in: Set up the business workspace, assign administrative responsibilities, and connect company sign-in where supported.
- Employee access and capabilities: Configure available roles and feature controls around approved uses, including employee access changes when people join, move roles, or leave.
- Connectors and company information: Review proposed connections to email, files, and business applications, including the permissions requested and the access already granted in those systems. Configure supported restrictions and identify gaps that need attention before connection.
- Tools and agent capabilities: Assess which connected tools or task-performing features teams need, what actions they can take, and where supported restrictions or human approvals should apply.
- Information-handling settings and rules: Review available data-handling settings and document what company information employees may use with the approved tools.
- AI activity monitoring and alerts: Magnit sets up activity-log collection, configures alerts for agreed risks, reviews concerns, and maintains the connection to your monitoring tools. We investigate and escalate unexpected activity within your agreed service scope, using the monitoring capabilities available on your platform and subscription.
- Ongoing configuration and access reviews: Maintain the agreed setup, review available administrative records, and assess requested changes to users, features, and integrations within your service scope.
How we set up and manage your AI platforms
Assessment, setup, and ongoing management are connected parts of this service. We start with your current environment and tailor the work to what you need, building on suitable existing configurations without repeating work already completed.
Assess & plan
Review your intended uses, existing AI accounts, connections, and available controls. Receive a practical plan showing what to configure, what requires a different subscription or approach, and what limitations remain.
Set up & secure
Configure the approved business workspace, sign-in, permissions, supported feature controls, and integrations. Test the setup against the agreed access requirements and document how it should be managed.
Manage & maintain
Continue with ongoing administration, agreed access and configuration reviews, activity monitoring where supported, and support for changes as your team uses the platform. Coverage, review frequency, alert handling, and responsibilities are defined in your proposal.
What this looks like in practice
Your business wants employees to use an AI assistant with company information, but different teams need different access. Magnit reviews the proposed connections and existing file permissions, configures the controls available for the selected platform and subscription, and tests representative users' access before rollout. If the platform cannot enforce a required restriction, we explain the limitation and agree a different approach before enabling that capability.
Available alongside your existing IT team
AI Platform Setup & Management is available alongside your existing IT team or provider, or as an addition to your Magnit managed IT service. We build on the setup you already have and agree on who manages accounts, devices, integrations, and information access, so the service fits your business without duplicating responsibilities.
Clear scope before rollout
Your proposal identifies the platforms, users, integrations, setup work, and ongoing management included, along with required subscriptions and separately priced work. Available controls depend on the product, subscription, and connected systems. Custom business automation can be scoped through IT Consulting & Automation.
For monitoring, we also agree the tools and storage required, access to collected records, retention, and response coverage. Monitoring identifies activity for review; automatic blocking requires separate supported controls.
Projects and specialist expertise
IT Consulting & Automation
Make the change your business needs—with a clear plan and ongoing support options.
When a technology change needs more time or specialist knowledge than your team has available, Magnit can plan and deliver the work. We connect business applications, automate routine processes, and improve IT infrastructure around your business goals.
Work with us on a standalone project alongside your existing IT team or provider, or add a separately scoped engagement to your Magnit managed IT service.
- RequestRecord the role and start date
- ApproveConfirm the access needed
- Set upApply the agreed accounts and device settings
- CheckTest access and record completion
What we can work on
- Technology integrations: Connect supported business applications so information and approved access can move between the tools your team uses.
- Process automation: Turn repeatable tasks into workflows with approvals, records of what happened, and a clear route for exceptions that need human attention.
- Custom business workflows: Connect your systems and departments through workflows tailored to your business—for example, linking HR requests, manager approvals, equipment assignments, and account provisioning. Custom integrations and their ongoing maintenance are scoped and quoted separately.
- IT infrastructure improvements: Review your current environment and plan changes to devices, identity, cloud services, and supporting systems based on your requirements.
How the work takes shape
- Understand the goal. Review your process, existing tools, dependencies, and the result your business needs.
- Agree on the scope. Define deliverables, responsibilities, costs, timing, and how we will verify the result before work begins.
- Build and validate. Implement the approved changes, test the workflow and its exceptions, and confirm it meets the agreed requirements.
- Document and hand over. Explain how the result works, provide operating documentation, and establish who owns it day to day.
Support after implementation
Our work can continue after implementation. If you want ongoing support and maintenance for the workflows we build, we include that scope and pricing in your automation or consulting proposal.
The proposal specifies what we maintain, how to request support, and any coverage or response commitments. This is part of the separately quoted service, rather than an automatic inclusion in your managed IT package.
Illustrative example. Replace a new-starter email chain with a workflow that captures the request, obtains approval, coordinates supported account and access setup, and records completion. Exceptions go to the responsible person for review.
Extra capacity for your existing team
Co-managed IT
Expand your IT capabilities without building a larger internal team.
Your business needs responsive support, flexible capacity, and expertise across the technology you use. Hiring and training for every need takes time and resources. Magnit's Co-managed IT services extend your existing team with additional support and specialist knowledge, with responsibilities tailored to your business.
Whether you need ongoing support, coverage during busy periods, or expertise for a specific project, we agree who handles what while your team retains control of priorities and decisions.
- Human reviewCheck work and approvals
- Completion notesReturn results and open issues to your team
- Give your team room to focus.Assign a defined backlog, onboarding batch, or project task to additional support.
- Keep control of the work.Agree access, allowed actions, approvals, and when issues should return to your team.
- Keep the knowledge.Receive useful completion notes and outstanding issues so support can continue smoothly.
Illustrative example. Magnit helps prepare a group of new employees while your internal IT team handles everyday requests and business priorities.
How extra support fits your team
We agree on the work, priorities, schedule, tools, and access needed. People handle communication, judgment, review, and escalation. AI assistance may help gather information, organize requests, prepare documentation, or complete approved repeatable steps within the agreed limits.
Capacity and timing are confirmed for each engagement. This is not a promise of immediate staffing or emergency coverage.
The tools behind the work
A connected Microsoft foundation.
We build management and security around Microsoft's cloud tools, connecting suitable business applications where they support the way you work.
- Microsoft Entra
- Manage who can sign in and what they can access as employees join, change roles, or leave.
- Microsoft Intune
- Configure and manage Windows and Mac computers, applications, updates, and appropriate device settings.
- Microsoft Defender
- Protect against threats with suitable security tools and an agreed process for reviewing alerts and responding to issues.
- Microsoft 365
- Connect email, shared files, teamwork, and suitable everyday processes.
We confirm the products, licenses, device capabilities, and integrations needed for your environment. Extra tools or services may be appropriate where a requirement isn't covered.
Before we begin
Questions before you choose.
Do we have to replace our current IT provider?
No. AI management, consulting, and overflow support can sit alongside your current team or provider. We agree responsibilities so you know whom to contact for each part of the work.
Can you support a mix of Windows and Mac computers?
Yes. Both are core supported environments. We apply consistent standards for setup, security, updates, and support, using the settings each platform provides.
Can we start with one problem?
Yes. Tell us what's getting in the way. We can discuss a focused project or review whether ongoing help would be a better fit.
Will you lower our IT bill?
We look for avoidable spending, but don't promise a reduction before reviewing the numbers. Better support or security may require additional investment. Recommendations should explain the benefit, the full cost, and the tradeoff.
Are software and equipment included?
The proposal will explain which services, licenses, equipment, and project costs are included and which are separate.
What happens when we contact you?
Tell our team a little about your business and the help you need. The website can prepare an email draft for you to review and send from your own email app.
Do we have to be fully cloud-based already?
No. We can assess your current setup and plan a move toward Microsoft's cloud tools. We'll agree what changes, what needs to stay, and who supports any systems outside the engagement.
Do we have to replace our other business software?
No. We keep useful specialist applications and connect them where supported. Their licensing, access, data protection, and vendor requirements remain part of the plan.
A useful first conversation
What would make your team's working day easier?
Tell us about a recurring IT problem, a security concern, or a change you're planning. We'll discuss where Magnit could help and what the next step would involve.
